We design and sell 3D of models of pipes and fittings commonly used in Autodesk Revit and CADMep.
When working as an Autodesk Fabrication trainer/consultant I would be asked by clients where they could get content to add to their databases. The answer sounded simple, build or buy, but it was not simple. Building Fabrication content is not simple and I didn’t feel comfortable recommending the few options out there at the time for purchasing content. That is when I decided to start Virtual Building Supply with the goal of giving Fabrication users a better option to purchase quality Fabrication content.
— Scott Hendricks, Founder of Virtual Building Supply

“Virtual Building Supply’s knowledge of Fabrication software, and his trade experience allows us to be confident in the accuracy of his content. We can now focus our efforts on coordination without the hassle of managing and maintaining our database.”

"Virtual Building Supply gives the industry what most companies have only dreamed of having: An experienced ITM database manager, real-world ITM content that is geometrically accurate and embedded with 'clean data,' and a way to connect everything seamlessly with your company. Many contractors invest enormous time and financial resources into this process in-house. It's now available to the market at a fraction of the cost. If you're serious about prefab, you won't find a better option."
— Tannar Frampton, President of Frampton & Associates, Inc.
“Building your content the RIGHT way is not easy. If you are leveraging the full fabrication portfolio, I highly recommend Virtual Building Supply for your content needs. We’ve had a great experience knowing our content is correct.”
— Lyle Janda, Solutions Implementation Manager, TD Industries
“If you use Autodesk Fabrication content in Revit or AutoCAD, do yourself and your business a favor and use Virtual Building Supply (VBS) as your content provider. Autodesk Fabrication is a great tool, but it only kicks into gear with good content, and that is where VBS comes in. VBS is the premier Fabrication content builder. They excel in the areas critical to the customer: quality, service, communication, price, and speed.”
— Jeremy James, BIM Technology and Systems, Apollo Mechanical Contractors
“Working with a company like Virtual Building Supply helps Gallo Mechanical’s VDC department stay focused on what is important. It allows us to provide our field and fabrication shop with documents to be successful and efficient. What sets VBS apart from other database managing companies is their years of experience and attention to detail. This allows them to turn around tasks in a timely manner to keep our department moving forward.”
— David (D.J.) Scharfenstein, BIM/VDC Director, Gallo Mechanical, LLC
“Virtual Building Supply uses similar methodologies on how we build our own Fabrication content. Their hands-on experience with installing pipe is unique, bringing a wealth of knowledge. Their approach to database management has earned a level of comfortability with our team that is unmatched.”
— Darren Young, Construction Technology Director, UMC
“Historically, content is created, distributed, and maintained by a highly experienced VDC team member. In our industry finding the time and highly qualified VDC team members is difficult. Tracking down labor rates, pricing, and filling in missing information to truly make great content is extremely time-consuming. VBS has allowed us to refocus our internal efforts, which helped us grow. They also bring a level of consistency and accuracy to our content, services, and reports in Revit. We are able to seamlessly transition from project to project efficiently.”
— Chris Canter, Director of Virtual Construction and Fabrication, Shapiro & Duncan, Inc.
